Refundable Damage Deposit:

  • The Refundable Damage Deposit is an agreement between the renter and the owner.
  • Cooperstown.com/Cooperstown Weekly Rentals are not mediators with regard to damage issues between the renter and the owner.  There is no possible way for us to do an inspection of each property every Friday during the season, with that being said, there is no way for us to settle any damage issues fairly for either the renter or the owner.
  • We suggest that if you see something that is broke or is not working properly, let the owner know ASAP.
  • Take photos with a date/time stamp on them as soon as you notice the damage so that you have some sort of proof that the damage was there before you arrived.
  • Make sure you get a good contact phone number for the owner when you arrive so that you have no problems contacting them if needed.

Please note:

  • If reservation is made in the spring, payments and cancellation dates will be modified appropriately.
  • There will be a $25.00 processing fee for insufficient funds checks
