This home is convenient to all the local amenities - schools, hospital, shopping, museums, lake. Once a one room schoolhouse, this unique property has been converted into a large family home. Originally built in the 1920's this house was an active school until the Cooperstown Elementary School was built in the 1950's. A well-known local artist, Helga Edge, purchased it from the school district and converted it for her use as a home and studio. Purchased from her estate in 1978 we have enlarged and updated this home over the last 30 years. After raising our family in this unusual home, it's time for us to allow other families the opportunity to stay here! Recently updated throughout and is lovingly maintained! Many original features include the water fountain, schoolhouse lights and blackboards are still here!
